New Peak Direct Care is a new agency backed by nearly 20 years of experience in this field. We serve clients through the regional center and the Self-Determination Program, providing person-centered, one-on-one support. We're a close-knit team that invests in the people who work here, because when we grow as individuals, we show up better for the people we support, helping them discover new possibilities.
The basics:
$21–24/hr based on experience.
Part-time, 15–30 hours a week.
The shift we need covered now is weekday afternoons, about 2:30–7 PM, in Santa Clarita. Details below.
What You'll Do
You'll work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in their homes and out in the community. That means going where their life takes them. A walk around the park on Saturday. A doctor's appointment on Tuesday. A therapy appointment on Thursday. Errands with family on Friday. Support with daily living like bathing, dressing, meals, hygiene is part of the job for many clients. Some clients have a behavior treatment plan written by a clinician, and every client has goals in their Individual Program Plan (IPP). You'll be implementing those plans directly, and working alongside the clinical team supporting them. You follow the individual, learn their world, and become someone they and their family can count on. Every client is different. We'll make sure you're prepared before your first shift.

Who This Is For
We're looking for experienced staff. Specifically: people who have implemented a behavior treatment plan, worked in ABA, supported IPP or ISP goals, or supported young adults through agitated or aggressive behaviors. RBT or BT certification is a plus, as is a degree in psychology, education, or a related field. Neither is required. If you don't have that background but you've worked as a coach, mentor, nanny, or caregiver, or you have a background in psychology, social work, education, or sports, we'll still look at your application.
Bring your own interests and hobbies with you. Whether it's music, sports, or art, clients connect with people who have something real to share. Be open to learning new interests from them too. Connection goes both ways. Prior experience working with developmental disabilities populations is a plus, not a requirement. We build long-term, stable relationships between clients and DSPs. We're looking for candidates who want that same commitment and consistency.
