Job description:
-Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems in Tank batteries, Compressors, Lact units, Refineries, Well heads, power plants, and commercial settings.
-Ensure all electrical systems meet safety and regulatory standards (local, state, and federal)
-Manage 2–6-man crews efficiently with strong leadership skills.
-Interpret and read blueprints, schematics, P&ID’s, and technical drawings to ensure proper installation and maintenance.
-Perform inspections and quality control on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
-Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, working with low voltage all the way up to 4160V systems. Have knowledge of terminating medium voltage systems.
-Collaborate with Company Men and engineers to improve electrical system performance.
-Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior electricians as needed.
-Maintain accurate records of work performed, including safety checks and inspections.
-Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
-Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician license
-Minimum of 4 years of experience working in an industrial setting.
-In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, transformers, PLCs, VFDs, and control panels.
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
-Knowledge of safety regulations and codes (NEC,OSHA,etc.)
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team managing apprentice electricians.
-Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
-Excellent communication skills.
