Your expertise will support a wide range of Gastroenterology medical needs, focusing on the digestive system including the stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and related organs, as well as chronic diseases needing to be managed. The care provides assurance to our patients in receiving the highest quality of care in a compassionate and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to establish accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with collaborative practice agreements and DEA regulations, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for precise medical documentation, order entry, and patient data management.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals across Primary care offices, Gastroenterologists, Surgery Center, Hospital's.
- Participate in diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, sonography, medical imaging, and specimen processing to inform treatment decisions.
- Engage in telehealth follow up's to extend care access and improve patient outcomes remotely.
- Provide education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication administration, disease prevention, and chronic disease management.
- Assist with discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and compliance with NCQA standards to optimize patient care pathways.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with electronic health records (EHR/expEDIum Office EHR) for accurate documentation and clinical workflows.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and drug enforcement regulations for prescribing medications.
- Familiarity with procedures such as Colonoscopies, EGD's, and Medical imaging is a plus.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during invasive procedures.
- Excellent client communication skills to educate patients on treatment plans while demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times. Pay: $112,123.84 - $135,030.86 per year
