We are seeking Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN will support clinical operations by delivering safe, compassionate, and compliant care in accordance with agency policies and state regulations.
Weekly pay is provided. Great working environment
- Monitor and document patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration)
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as permitted by Illinois scope of practice
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, catheter insertion, and prevention of bedsores
- Observe and report changes in patient condition or response to treatment
- Collect specimens (blood, urine, etc.) for lab testing
- Educate patients and families on care plans and basic health practices
- Support activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and mobility
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Supervise nursing assistants and aides when appropriate
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in the State of Illinois
- CPR certification (BLS preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (home health experience preferred)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
