QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sports Administration, Business management or related field and at least three years related experience and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience overseeing various golf programs and leagues required. Experience and understanding of park and recreation administration, supervision, parent communications, personnel procedures, safety and program planning is required. Excellent customer service skills with strong communication skills in both verbal and written format. Effective at building relationships with schools and community affiliates. Must have attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite required. Must have a valid IL driver's license and provide own transportation. Evening and weekend work will be required at times.
DUTIES
Under the direction and supervision of the Racquet and Golf General Manager, the Golf Program Director is responsible for the overall quality, development and daily operations of the Fox Valley Golf Academy. This position will include a strong focus on the recruitment, development and retention of youth golf players of all ages and abilities, and a strong focus on development and implementation of the overall quality of instruction. This position acts as the point person responsible for the Fox Valley Golf Academy programs, camps and leagues and on-going progressive curriculum development for youth golf at Orchard Valley and offsite locations. The Golf Program Director is responsible for providing expanded player development, evaluation/analysis as related to programs, research regarding potential programs and any correspondence needed. Other duties include but are not limited to providing program descriptions for the brochure, program management, identifying purchasing needs, class instruction, staff training, and other duties as assigned. This is an at-will position.
