ILUM Solar is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Solar Proposal Technician to join our Sacramento headquarters. This role is critical to helping our sales and operations teams deliver accurate, professional solar proposals and move projects efficiently from sale to installation.

Responsibilities
- Create residential solar and battery proposals using company-approved software.
- Review utility bills, site survey information, and customer documentation.
- Design systems that meet utility, AHJ, and financing program requirements.
- Work closely with sales representatives to optimize system sizing and production.
- Review roof layouts, electrical configurations, and equipment selections.
- Ensure proposals meet ILUM Solar standards for accuracy and presentation.
- Assist with revisions and redesigns as projects progress.
- Coordinate with permitting, engineering, and operations teams as needed.
- Maintain proposal turnaround times and support company growth objectives.
Qualifications
- Solar industry experience preferred.
- Experience with proposal and design software such as Aurora, Solo, OpenSolar, Artemis, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of residential solar, battery storage, and electrical fundamentals.
- Ability to read satellite imagery, site surveys, and electrical diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of PG&E, SMUD, SCE, and California utility requirements.
- Experience with NEM programs and battery storage design.
- Familiarity with permit and engineering requirements.
- Previous solar operations, design, or proposal experience.
