The David Burke Hospitality Management team opened a gorgeous, award winning restaurant in East Brunswick! We are fast paced - high energy & a top quality fine dining experience - 150 banquet facility!
We are looking for awesome, highly motivated people to join Chef Burke's culinary team of excellence - learn from the best - surround yourself with leaders who have so much to teach and experience a celebrity chef's kitchen!
- Work with all other cooks to produce food orders
- Ensure all cooking techniques and plate presentations are being followed
- Ensures that the kitchen is clean and compliant with all regulatory requirements for food handling, sanitation, employment law and safety
- Deliver world-class levels of exceptional and stylish cuisine within the confines of the established culinary style
- Be punctual, team player and motivated worker.
- Work with the Chef to ensure all dishes, silverware, glassware are cleaned and put away.
- Keep entire kitchen clean and sanitary throughout the shift.

Experience
- At least three years of progressive experience in food preparation
- experience in different stations and positions in a kitchen including hot foods, cold foods, desserts
- Must be proficient in Breakfast, or willing to learn very fast, poached eggs, omlets, etc.
Education
- Certificate of Sanitation from Serve Safe or local establishment
OTHER
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Physically fit and agile; able to carry 40 pounds
Job Duties:
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Uniform:
- Sleeveless shirts/tank tops not allowed
