Connectus Health is accepting applications for a full time Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our rapidly growing Women's Health practice.
Connectus Health is part of a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center with loan repayment options available through the Health Resources and Services Administration.
Essential Job Functions/Duties
Clinical job functions:
- Provide direct clinical services and management of patients as defined in practice standing orders, policies, procedures and protocols.
- Obtain patient health histories and complete physical examinations.
- Document findings noting pertinent normal and abnormal findings.
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests.
- Explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of procedure(s) to patient, family, staff, and healthcare learners.
- Collaborate with all colleagues including physicians, physician assistants, behavioral health consultants, and nurses and document in medical records and appropriate narrative summaries.
- Responsible for conducting patient visits for work-in, walk-in, and scheduled appointments for prenatal, gynecologic, and postpartum care management visits.
- Responsible for in office procedures such as colposcopies, placement of LARC devices, and other procedures under scope of practice
- Assists team members with inbound clinical triage
- Provides direction to interdisciplinary team/ staff regarding treatment of the patient conditions.
- Provides patient education, advice and information on health assessment, disease processes, medications and treatment plans.
- Monitors the quality of care delivered.
- Assists organization in ensuring Joint Commission and other regulatory standards are met.
- Knowledge of general medical procedures and the ability to anticipate complications and the indicated therapeutic interventions
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited program for Advanced Practice Nurses.
- Advanced education and training in the diagnosis and management of common medical conditions and chronic illnesses related to women’s health, prenatal care, and post-partum care, and gynecologic patient issues
- Current licensure as a women’s health specialty advanced practice nurse (WHNP)
- Proficient in placement of LARC devices and performing colposcopies and LEEPs or willing to complete training within 6 months of hire
- Meets all requirements required for privileges of service.
- Eligible for a DEA and a NPI #.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Preferred Requirements:
- At least one year of WHNP experience.
