Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Dental Care Coordinator to join our vibrant dental team! Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify appointment details, and assist with patient check-in procedures
- Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verifications accurately
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls and taking detailed messages
- Maintain accurate medical records and dentrix in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring adherence to clinical confidentiality policies
- Assist with administrative support tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Support clinical staff by coordinating patient intake and facilitating communication between patients and providers
Skills
- Extensive experience with dental office management software such as Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance processes including verification, Dentical and private insurance plans
- Proficiency in dental terminology
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly under HIPAA guidelines
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Proven clerical experience in a healthcare or dental setting with office management expertise
- Skilled in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing (10-key) for efficient data entry
- Ability to manage complex scheduling while maintaining professionalism on multi-line phone systems
- Knowledge of dental terminology and clinical confidentiality policies to support seamless clinic operations
