Duties
- Assist teachers in implementing daily classroom routines and educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and well-being
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety standards
- Follow mandated reporting laws by observing and reporting any concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Support caregivers with childcare duties such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed
- Participate in ongoing training on childhood development instruction, behavior management, first aid, pediatric first aid, and classroom management techniques
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or early childhood education programs
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective teaching strategies for young children including infants and toddlers
- Certification or training in first aid and pediatric first aid is highly desirable
- Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Ability to follow classroom management protocols and implement behavior management strategies positively
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and team members
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth through engaging activities and compassionate caregiving
