Duties
- Assist with menu planning to meet dietary needs and preferences while maintaining nutritional standards
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, ensuring consistency, flavor, and presentation excellence
- Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Support food service operations by serving meals efficiently and courteously to residents or guests
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation and proper storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with team members on catering events or special meal preparations as needed
- Use knife skills proficiently for meal preparation tasks, ensuring safety and precision at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable
- Knowledge of menu planning, food handling, and food safety protocols is essential
- Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on meal preparation and food presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for serving guests and collaborating with team members
- Prior experience in catering or the food industry is a plus
