We provide specialized medical services including free pregnancy testing, STI testing, ultrasounds (upon qualification), professional counseling, education and support services. Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients in the clinical setting.
- Use ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate scans needed.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the scanning process.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures performed.
- Be proficient in the process of storing digital images to the ultrasound computer in preparation for the Medical Director.
- Maintain working knowledge of ultrasound methods, principles, and practices.
- Be cross-trained to work on and to drive the Mobile Medical Unit on occasion.
- Provide all aspects of ultrasound services to patients in-house, over the phone, and during initial and follow-up appointments.
- Provide timely follow-up correspondence with patients.
- Assist in ordering and maintaining medical supplies for the ultrasound areas.
Skills
- Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and interpreting scan results.
- Knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Pro-Life, Christ follower and believes that the Bible is the inerrant word of God.
- Expresses sincere desire to reach women in crisis pregnancies, especially those who are abortion-vulnerable and abortion-minded.
- Maintains consistent life-affirming philosophy.
- Currently holds a registry license and is in good standing with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Demonstrates competent knowledge of the care for obstetrical and gynecological patients, and women's health issues.
- Is dependable, stable and capable of following through on commitments.
- Must complete the Mid Cities Women's Clinic Volunteer Lay Counselor training and orientation.
Schedule
- Part-time day shift
- Occasional after hours on-call
- Occasional Saturday shifts

Experience:
- Sonography: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- ARRT Certification (Preferred)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
