Maintenance Technician
The Town of Purcellville is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician within our Public Works Department. This position assists in tasks of repairing water lines, sewer mains and fire hydrants; inspecting sewer lines; roadway maintenance (pot hole repair, sign maintenance, traffic markings, litter control and right of way mowing, snow removal); operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment to include operating lawn mowers, tractors, dump trucks and other heavy equipment; and perform other maintenance-related work. This position requires employee to be on a rotational on-call schedule and the ability to be called in to assist after hours.
Qualifications include graduation from high school or GED and any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities. Successful candidate must hold a valid Driver’s License, and the ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in the Commonwealth of Virginia within six months of hire.
Hiring Range: $45,676.80 - $73,091.20, DOQ
