We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient care team—providing therapy directly in patients' homes. Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in carrying out personalized outpatient treatment plans in patients’ homes.
- Perform therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and other rehab techniques as directed.
- Track and document patient progress accurately using digital or written records.
- Instruct patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety practices.
- Ensure a safe and professional environment during each home visit.
- Communicate with PTs and healthcare team members to support high-quality, coordinated care.
- Treat a variety of patients, including those recovering from surgery, auto accidents, or managing chronic conditions.
- Apply techniques like trigger point therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and manual therapy to improve outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility as a PTA.
- Knowledge of outpatient rehab techniques, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Experience with home-based outpatient care or similar settings preferred.
- Ability to manage time independently and deliver care across a geographic area.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for helping patients regain independence and improve function at home.
