We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Duties:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments
- Maintain accurate cash drawer and perform cash register reconciliations
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide recommendations
- Stock shelves and merchandise displays as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sales or cashiering preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (Spanish language skills are a plus)
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of jewelry sales is desirable but not required
