Fontana (CA) and Houston (TX) manufacturing facilities have production manager / supervisor positions available for experienced, reliable, and self-motivated individuals. Currently hiring for both day and night shifts.
Primary Responsibilities
- As a Production Supervisor you will lead and direct the activities of the manufacturing team.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and occupational health regulations as well as meeting customer orders due dates and requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Assist with onboarding process for new hires.
- Monitor and prioritize workflow of production to meet deadlines.
- Provide daily production schedules to the operations team.
- Assign specific daily activities to appropriate individuals to support production schedule.
- Communicate batch concerns and potential issues to Laboratory Supervisor. If necessary, assist with trouble shooting efforts to determine cause and appropriate adjustments to achieve targeted test results.
- Assign team and individual work schedules, including overtime, as needs dictate.
- Ensure production equipment is properly maintained and repairs are expedited when equipment downtime is experienced.
Experience
- Experience in an Industrial Coating / Paint Manufacturing Plant or Laboratory environment
- Knowledge and experienced in continuous improvement and understanding of 5S, 7 wastes, kaizen, PDCA, kanban, takt, etc.
- Computer skills and efficient in Microsoft Office
- Flexible work hours, including overtime when necessary
Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelors degree or equivalent five years experience supervising in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, multi-lingual preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Computer skills and efficient in Microsoft Office
- Flexible work hours, including overtime when necessary
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Work safety around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles
- Ability to bend, twist, turn, kneel, and squat.
- Working safely with hazardous materials and chemicals.
- Will be required to wear the proper safety equipment and follow all safety guidelines
