Perform daily floor care, cleaning, buffing and refinishing floors, cleaning carpets, and performing housekeeping duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions
Perform day-to-day floor cleaning activities in accordance with daily work assignments.
Clean floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc.
Clean carpets to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing and disinfecting.
Buff floors using floor machine and appropriate pad and finish as needed.
Refinish floors using proper stripping or scrubbing method as needed or assigned.
Pick up accumulated trash and place in designated areas for storage or removal.
Clean exit/entrance door areas, to include removing trash and cigarette butts, clean glass with cleaner and clean/sweep entrance mats.
Clean and store equipment, etc. at end of shift.
Dispose of refuse daily in accordance with established sanitation procedures.
Inform supervisor of supply needs.
Ability to handle reasonably necessary stress.
Develop and maintain a good working relationship with staff, resident/patients, and visitors.
