Vino di Luca is looking for experienced servers at Chef Luca's newest concept in Olmsted Falls. Vino di Luca is a wine bar featuring small plates, a full bar and broad wine selection. Candidates must be able to serve alcohol and have previous serving experience.
Job Summary
Vino di Luca is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service, along with a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring efficient service and adherence to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience, including upselling specials and pairings.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Monitor tables for guest satisfaction, addressing any concerns or requests in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines throughout service.
- Process payments accurately using cash handling procedures, ensuring proper math calculations during transactions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations is essential.
