Butterfly Steps, LLC is seeking a compassionate and motivated Early Interventionist/Service Coordinator to join our growing team serving children and families throughout Richland and Lexington Counties.
Early Interventionists provide family-centered developmental instruction, family training, and service coordination to infants and toddlers (birth to age 6) with developmental delays or disabilities. We partner with families by providing coaching and education in the child's natural environment to promote developmental growth and help children achieve meaningful milestones.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, Child Development, Social Work, Family Studies, Human Services, or a closely related field and at least one (1) year of professional experience working with infants, toddlers, or young children; OR
- Bachelor's degree in any field and at least five (5) years of documented experience working with infants, toddlers, or children birth to age 5 with developmental delays or disabilities.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid South Carolina driver's license
- Reliable transportation and current automobile insurance
- Ability to travel throughout Richland and Lexington Counties
- Successful completion of state and federal background checks
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide family training and developmental coaching in the child's home, daycare, or other natural environments.
- Educate and empower caregivers using evidence-based strategies that support their child's development.
- Assist families in understanding their child's developmental strengths, needs, and goals.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with families while providing ongoing support.
- Coordinate Early Intervention services in accordance with each child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
- Collaborate with therapists, physicians, childcare providers, and community agencies to ensure continuity of care.
- Complete all required BabyNet documentation accurately and within established timelines.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical consumer records.
- Adhere to all BabyNet, South Carolina DDSN, HIPAA, and Butterfly Steps policies and procedures.
- Participate in required trainings, supervision, and team meetings.
Pay: $37,000.00 - $42,500.00 per year
