Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be responsible for implementing care plans, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting resident rights while fostering a nurturing environment. We are seeking dedicated caregivers for a variety of clients in the Jefferson County region near Festus.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of clients by maintaining a clean and organized living space.
- Advocate for resident rights and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Document care provided and any changes in client condition accurately.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with group home settings or similar environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of care plans and medication administration practices is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A background in nursing or related fields may be beneficial but is not required.
- A genuine passion for helping others and enhancing their quality of life is crucial.
