Overview
Busy fireplace company is looking for a dependable and motivated Fireplace Service Technician to join our team. Responsibilities include setting up and servicing fireplaces, performing small repairs, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with installations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable using hand and power tools, able to read and follow technical instructions, and willing to learn new skills in the fireplace industry. Valid Driver's License is required for this position.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of fireplace units, including gas, electric, and wood-burning models, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform appliance repairs, including replacing faulty components and conducting routine maintenance to extend product lifespan.
- Interpret technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately troubleshoot issues.
- Install new fireplaces and related equipment according to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly and professionally.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for each job completed to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair and equipment troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, or climbing ladders safely.
