Job Summary
Join Commercial Solar Solutions (CSS Solar) and help build the future of renewable energy. As a Solar Panel Installer (PV), you will be part of a field team responsible for installing photovoltaic (PV) panels on utility-scale solar farms across the United States. This is a hands-on, outdoor construction role ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, working as part of a team, and contributing to clean energy projects. No prior solar experience is required—we're looking for dependable individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Install solar panels onto racking systems at utility-scale solar farms.
- Perform general labor and assembly duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follow instructions from field supervisors and adhere to all safety procedures.
- Maintain a steady work pace while working in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete daily production goals.
- Maintain a professional attitude and positive communication with coworkers.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the field supervisor.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and reach as needed.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat.
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts, with occasional 12-hour shifts.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
Experience
- No prior solar or construction experience required.
- Previous experience in construction, general labor, manufacturing, or outdoor work is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment.
