Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Glove Technician(Ex-baseball/softball players strongly prefered!) . As a Glove Techncian, you will be responsible for servicing various types of gloves for our customers, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship in a timely manner. These services consist of break-ins and relacing. We are a team of ex-ball players who enjoy being able to serve those still playing. We work in a relaxed group environment listening to chill music, and we pride ourselves on being self-accountable. We currently work 6-hour shifts with a 1-hour lunch break.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect gloves to assess repair needs and determine relacing requirements.
- Communicating clearly and confidently with customers.
- Remove old lacing.
- Scrubbing and cleaning gloves.
- Perform relacing with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilize our pneumatic press glove break-in machine to break in gloves for optimal comfort and performance.
- Work efficiently in both indoor and outdoor environments, including during tournaments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and tools.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in glove relacing or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to operate a pneumatic press and other equipment used in glove maintenance.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor setups and traveling to tournaments.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
