Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Durable Medical Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery, setup, instruction and maintenance of medical equipment in various home and healthcare settings. You will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the necessary equipment promptly and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and be comfortable with heavy lifting as well as dependability and work in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and set up medical equipment at patient locations, ensuring proper installation, education and functionality.
- Load and unload equipment from cargo vans in a safe manner.
- Troubleshoot and maintain medical equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any questions or concerns from healthcare providers or patients regarding equipment usage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory management within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service delivery and efficient operations.
- Assist in training new staff on equipment handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Assist with On-Call rotation with other delivery technicians for weekends, holidays and evenings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with a home delivery environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 80 pounds) throughout the workday.
- Requires a clean background check and pass drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Experience driving cargo vans or similar vehicles is a plus.
- Dependability to work as scheduled daily a must
- A valid driver's license is required; a clean driving record is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $18.25 - $19.50 per hour
