Analytical Chemist – HPLC / LC-MS Data Processing
Location: Franklin, TN
Work Arrangement: On-site during training. Hybrid/remote work may be available after successful completion of training and demonstration of proficiency.
About the Role
Freedom Diagnostics is seeking an Analytical Chemist to assist with the interpretation and processing of HPLC and LC-MS data for research-use-only analytical testing. This position is ideal for someone with strong chromatography experience who enjoys data interpretation and problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Process and review HPLC-UV/PDA and LC-MS analytical data.
- Interpret chromatograms and mass spectra for compound identity and purity.
- Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and technical reports.
- Review chromatographic integrations and identify potential impurities.
- Perform routine instrument operation and sample preparation as needed.
- Assist with method development, troubleshooting, and laboratory documentation.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow established SOPs.
Qualifications Required
- Experience with HPLC using PDA/DAD detection or LC-MS (quadrupole preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and technical documentation.
Preferred
- Experience with both HPLC and LC-MS.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience interpreting peptide mass spectra and chromatographic purity data.
- Familiarity with Shimadzu LabSolutions or comparable chromatography software.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or analytical laboratory.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
