Responsibilities of Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor:
- Make daily compliance rounds on units to observe, examine or interview residents, verify information from the ongoing shift, monitor regulatory compliance, and determine staff assignments.
- Monitor delivery of care and services to ensure needs are met, tasks are completed and that work of direct care staff is of acceptable quality and quantity.
- Demonstrate competency in clinical skills needed for the facility resident population.
- Must have a working knowledge of laws and regulations that influence the provision of care and services in nursing facilities.
- Provide direct care
- Assume responsibility and accountability for nursing services delivered to residents.
- Administer treatments and medications.
- Supervise direct care.
- Ensure that "Flow of Care" is followed.
- Additional duties as assigned by the DON and ADON.
Requirements for RN Supervisor:
- CPR Certification
- Active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania
