Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Community Support Provider I (CSP I) with proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) to join our team. In this role, you will be a vital part of empowering individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other disabilities to achieve greater independence and quality of life. Duties
- Manage an assigned caseload and provide individualized support
- Build positive, supportive relationships with clients
- Participate in developing and implementing Individual Recovery Plans
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support
- Educate and collaborate with families and support networks
- Conduct individual interventions to build coping, social, and daily living skills
- Support clients in symptom self‑monitoring and self‑management
- Assist clients in increasing social support and reducing stressors
- Develop strategies to prevent hospitalization
- Facilitate group activities in the community and agency
- Accompany clients to medical and psychiatric appointments
- Engage and support “hard‑to‑engage” clients
- Participate in the on‑call rotation as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective during crises
- Team‑oriented with strong collaboration skills
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Effective time‑management and multitasking skills
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- OR BA in psychology, social work, deaf studies, or related field
- OR at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience working with Deaf individuals or in residential settings preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
