Job Summary
We are seeking a weekend shift manager to help with sales in our Bicycle Retail Store. This individual would be in charge of selling bikes and accessories, writing up new work orders, and restocking and managing inventory. Experience in retail required. Experience in Bicycle Retail preferred. This is a chill work environment but will require high energy during the busy summer season. Look forward to finding our next assistant to the regional manager!
Responsibilities
- Supervise Part Time employees in the shop during weekend shifts
- Handle sales of new bikes and accessories. This includes all kinds of customers from kids bike, to mountain bikes and road bikes
- Manage inventory control, including restocking shelves, learning new products as they enter the market, and reordering old favorites to keep the shop full
- This is not for a full time mechanic position, however some mechanics will be required of you. We can provide on the job training for this aspect but if you are a bicycle mechanic this helps
- This position is part time, but for the right candidate we would consider full time.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Experience in a Bicycle Retail Shop or similar retail store
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Familiarity with bicycle parts and brands
- A willing attitude to learn on the job about our specific product line
- Ability to work weekends consistently; flexibility to adapt to busy retail store with summer being the busy season
