2. Position Overview
Seeking a 13-week Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team.
Specialty: Adult Behavioral Health / Detox
Schedule: 8-Hour Afternoon Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Hours: 40 hours/week
Weekend: Every other weekend
Holidays: May be required
On-Call: Possible
Travel Position: Yes – 50-mile radius rule applies
3. Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult patients in a detox/substance abuse treatment setting.
- Assess patients, administer medications, monitor symptoms, and provide appropriate interventions.
- Support patients experiencing substance use and behavioral health conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, clinical specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow safety and infection-control standards.
- Provide patient education and support throughout the detoxification and recovery process.
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and behavioral health needs.
4. Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of current Detox/Substance Abuse nursing experience required.
- Previous travel nursing experience required – minimum 6 months.
- Behavioral Health/Detox experience is required; general Behavioral Health experience alone will not be considered.
- Active Massachusetts RN License required at submission.
- Current AHA BLS required.
- Must have own vehicle for this assignment.
- Strong assessment, communication, crisis-management, and teamwork skills.
- Behavioral Health/Detox skills checklist must be current within the past year.
- Supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years required.
5. Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent nursing education required.
- BSN preferred.
6. Certifications
- AHA BLS required.
- Active Massachusetts RN License required.
7. Preferred Qualifications
- Meditech Expanse experience.
- BSN degree.
- Strong experience in detoxification and substance abuse treatment.
- Experience working with adult behavioral health patients.
- Previous successful travel assignments.
Pay: $2,300.00 - $2,500.00 per week
