American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Orthopedic/Trauma Unit position in Oklahoma City, requiring at least one year of RN experience and AHA-issued BLS certification.

Work setting is a hospital Orthopedic/Trauma Unit

Fast-paced unit with a mix of orthopedic and trauma patient cases

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Charge nurse experience is preferred

13-week contract

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, assisting with diagnostic procedures, and documenting patient responses to interventions

Collaborates with physicians, delegates tasks to support staff, and communicates care plans with patients and families

BSN from a board-approved program is preferred

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may work a maximum of 26 weeks total (including one extension); a 6-month separation period is required before returning for another contract
