Our client a Manufacturing Company in Scranton Area is looking for a Night Shift Production Supervisor that will be responsible for overseeing the production and reports to the Plant Manager. This role is responsible for managing the daily manufacturing activities in a manner that promotes the company's objectives including directing all department associates on their shift, all expenses with labor cost, including overtime, as it relates to volume, and maintaining positive work relationships. This is a safety sensitive position.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinates manning requirements (vacations, sick, no shows, etc.).
· Responsible for training/safety.
· Responsible for shift out-put and performance.
· Resolves quality issues and processes.
· Initiates disciplinary procedures.
· Evaluates employee performance.
· Facilitates team working.
· Embraces and implements lean concepts.
· Works to improve machine efficiencies.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· High School diploma or equivalent plus a minimum 1 - 3 years of supervisory experience.
· Bi-lingual – Spanish helpful
· Lean manufacturing experience is beneficial.
· Must have excellent people skills, time management skills, and demonstrated experience in team building through recruitment, career development and retention.
· Demonstrated ability to apply and conduct good root cause analysis techniques and resolve problems is essential.
· Must have a strong floor presence and be able to interact effectively with people at all levels.
· Excellent organization and project management skills.
· Self-starter who is positive and professional.
· Must be proactive and lead improvements to existing processes policies and systems
