Position Summary
The Disputes Specialist plays a key role in supporting account resolution and customerexperience at Parking Revenue Recovery Services (PRRS). In this high-volume environment, this role is responsible for reviewing and resolving customer disputes with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and fair decision-making.
This position requires the ability to interpret information, apply policies, and exercise sound judgment while delivering clear, professional written communication. A strong emphasis is placed on quality, efficiency, and adaptability, as processes and volumes continue to evolve.
Key Responsibilities
· Review and evaluate customer disputes related to parking notices using internal systems and supporting documentation
· Make decisions on dispute outcomes based on company guidelines and available information
· Communicate resolutions to customers through written responses
· Maintain ownership of assigned cases from intake through final resolution
· Gather, verify, and document relevant information across multiple systems
· Escalate complex or unclear cases as appropriate
· Identify trends or recurring issues and escalate as needed
· Adapt to evolving processes, policies, and tools
Performance Expectations
Successful Disputes Specialists consistently:
· Resolve disputes within established service level expectations, with a goal of resolution within 4 business days
· Maintain high levels of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail in all decisions
· Demonstrate sound judgment and critical thinking, especially in complex or ambiguous cases
· Deliver clear, professional, and customer-focused written communication
· Manage workload efficiently to meet productivity expectations
· Maintain reliability, accountability, and consistent attendance
· Demonstrate adaptability and openness to feedback, with the ability to adjust to evolving processes and systems
Qualifications
Required
· High School Diploma or GED
· Minimum 6 months of experience in a high-volume, process-driven environment (call center, back-office operations, or similar)
· Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly and professionally explain decisions
· Ability to review, interpret, and apply information from multiple sources
· High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and systems simultaneously
· Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, data entry)
· Typing speed of approximately 40 WPM
Preferred
- Experience handling disputes, appeals, or case-based work
- Experience working in a performance-driven environment with productivity and quality expectations
- Familiarity with CRM or ticketing systems (e.g., Zoho or similar platforms)
- Bilingual (Spanish)
