General Manager – P&L, Accounting & Operations (Confidential Company)
Location: Torrance, CA (On-site, Full-time)
Salary: Competitive base + annual bonus (commensurate with experience)
Job Summary
A profitable, well-established B2B services company in the Torrance, CA area is seeking a General Manager with strong P&L management, accounting, and operational leadership skills. This position will lead day-to-day office operations, manage financial performance, and partner with senior leadership to drive growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with accounting, sales, and operations teams to ensure financial health, operational efficiency, and sustained profitability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations for a team of office-based staff.
- Manage the company’s profit and loss (P&L) including revenue, gross profit, and expenses.
- Prepare and maintain annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and financial reports.
- Track and improve key KPIs: gross profit margin, AR aging, invoicing timelines, and expense control.
- Collaborate with sales leadership and operations to meet company goals.
- Oversee accounts receivable collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Serve as the on-site leadership presence, representing ownership in internal decisions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and collaboration.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in general management, operations, or senior leadership.
- Demonstrated success in full P&L ownership and financial performance improvement.
- Strong skills in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience leading teams in B2B services, creative agencies, manufacturing, or distribution.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred).
