Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Traveler Pay: $55–$60/hr based on experience
- Local Pay: $45–$50/hr based on experience
We are seeking an experienced Ambulatory Device Technician to support cardiac device operations within a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiac electrophysiology, cardiology, pacemaker and ICD interrogation/programming, and patient monitoring. This role requires strong technical, communication, and documentation skills while working collaboratively with clinical teams and patients.
- Perform pacemaker and ICD interrogation and programming procedures
- Support ambulatory cardiac device monitoring and electrophysiology operations
- Assist with patient assessments, documentation, and device-related follow-up care
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and charge entry when applicable
- Collaborate with physicians, electrophysiology teams, and clinical staff to support patient care
- Educate patients, families, and staff regarding electrophysiological monitoring and device management
- Monitor device performance and report abnormalities or concerns to clinical leadership
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and departmental protocols
- Maintain accurate records and technical documentation related to cardiac device procedures
- Support daily operational workflow within the ambulatory cardiology setting
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited program in Cardiac Electrophysiology Technology or equivalent education/experience preferred
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- Current AHA ACLS Certification
- Current AHA PALS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience within specialty required
- Minimum 2 years of pacemaker/ICD interrogation and programming experience required
- Experience in cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac device technology, or MRI operations preferred
- Strong computer literacy and EMR documentation skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to educate patients, families, and healthcare staff effectively
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
