Position Summary
The Associate Chiropractor will evaluate and treat patients involved in motor vehicle accidents and other musculoskeletal injuries while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and coordinating care with medical specialists and legal professionals when appropriate.
The ideal candidate is confident in patient communication, produces thorough documentation, and understands the importance of high-quality records in personal injury cases.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive chiropractic examinations and re-examinations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Deliver chiropractic adjustments and other therapeutic procedures.
- Educate patients regarding injuries, treatment expectations, home care, and recovery.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
- Produce well-written daily chart notes that support medical necessity and continuity of care.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Coordinate patient care with attorneys, primary care physicians, orthopedic specialists, neurologists, pain management physicians, imaging centers, and other healthcare providers.
- Generate referrals when appropriate and maintain professional referral relationships.
- Participate in case management discussions and collaborate with the clinical team.
- Help create an outstanding patient experience from the initial visit through discharge.
Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from an accredited chiropractic college.
- Active Texas Chiropractic License (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong clinical decision-making abilities.
- Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Professional demeanor with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience treating Personal Injury (PI) and motor vehicle accident patients.
- Experience documenting PI cases with detailed, defensible chart notes.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Experience coordinating care with attorneys and medical specialists.
- Familiarity with rehabilitation exercises and physiotherapy modalities.
