This is a professional airport operations position which exercises a high level of discretion and judgment regarding a wide variety of duties both independently and supervised for all airport operations. The position exercises considerable confidential and independent decision making in response to difficult situations involving airside, landside and terminal operations. The Airport Operations Manager provides work assignments, instructions, and evaluations through observations, reports, inspections, and discussion. The primary mission of the position is compliance with Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 139– Certification of Airports, and the Airport Certification Manual.
The day and hours for this position:-
Monday-Friday, FIRST 2 WEEKS

10 Hour shifts of 4 days AFTERWARDS. Wednesday-Saturday 2:00pm - 12:00am
Relocation expenses will not be provided

Preferred Experience and Training

Bachelor’s degree in aviation management

One year of airfield, airline or military experience that includes airfield experience.

An Airport Certified Employee (ACE) in Operations, and/or a private pilot certificate.
Offers of employment are also contingent upon passing a physical examination, which includes drug screening.
Starting pay for current City employees will be determined by City of Wichita policy or applicable bargaining unit agreement.
