POSITION SUMMARY:
The role is performed under the supervision and direction of the executive director of the Nampa Family Justice Center. Still, considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with the executive director, other grant partners, including Idaho State Police and other local law enforcement, state prosecutors, US attorneys, other victim service providers, and the public. The principal duties of this role are performed in both an office setting and the field. This role will require an ability to travel around the Treasure Valley and state in accordance with necessary duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages the day-to-day work of task force activities, including administrative and operational duties.
- Develops and expands collaborative partnerships and creates a formal MOU for the task force.
- Works with Idaho State Police to develop a data-driven community assessment of human trafficking in the project area.
- Develop an internal foundation for the task force, including a mission statement, goals and objectives, leadership structure, roles and responsibilities, special committees, and decision-making structures.
- Schedules and facilitates monthly task force meetings, creates meeting agendas, and takes and distributes meeting notes.
- Develops a written set of protocols to include service delivery, investigative, and prosecutorial activities.
- Implements and routinely monitors established protocols for service delivery, investigative, and prosecutorial activities.
- Equips professionals to identify and serve all types of human trafficking survivors using a victim-centered and trauma-informed approach through the creation of a training module for multidisciplinary teams.
- Schedules, coordinates, and provides ten regional trainings on an annual basis for multidisciplinary teams (to include law enforcement, prosecutors, and victim service providers) across the state.
- Coordinates and implements training for SANE nurses and medical professionals utilizing a national expert.
- Creates public awareness for training and outreach efforts by developing a website and other public awareness and outreach materials.
- Coordinates and provides ongoing training to task force members to include victim-centered and trauma-informed approaches through three training events throughout the project.
- In conjunction with Idaho State Police and other task force members, plans and executes diverse approaches to improve victim identification, utilizing trauma-informed and victim-centered investigations and prosecutions.
- In conjunction with Idaho State Police and grant partners, aids in the process of investigating, referring, and prosecuting both sex and labor trafficking cases at the local, state, tribal, and federal levels.
- Facilitates the provision of direct victim services to include crisis response, trauma counseling, medical care, support groups, transportation, safe shelter, rental assistance, financial assistance (food, clothing, etc.), and more.
- Manages data collection related to incidence of service delivery, investigations and prosecutions, and more.
- Works with the Program Manager in tracking all data and information for documentation and grant reporting.
- Conducts surveys of the task force to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
- Attends meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions and reviews publications and audio-visual materials to become and remain current on principles, practices, and new developments in human trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, trauma, and abuse.
- Maintains ongoing interaction with supervisor, including articulating any questions or concerns.
- Ensures that all services are maintained in accordance with the agency’s mission and goals.
- Adheres to all NFJC policies and procedures, including confidentiality.
- Adheres to NFJC safety protocols, including emergency situations.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (four-year college) Required; field of Study: Social Work major or related field preferred.
- 3 or more years of experience in an administrative support role or any combination of experience and training which provides the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.

- Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer using standard or customized software applications appropriate to assigned tasks and the ability and willingness to quickly learn and use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing information and/or technology.
