Now Hiring: Experienced Ironworker / Structural Steel Erector
Position: Ironworker – Structural Steel Erection Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Ironworker with experience in structural steel erection, welding, and installation of fabricated steel components. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively as part of a construction team.
Responsibilities
- Erect and install structural and miscellaneous steel according to project drawings and specifications.
- Connect, align, bolt, and weld structural steel members.
- Install fabricated steel components including beams, columns, braces, stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous metals.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and erection plans.
- Operate aerial lifts, forklifts, and other construction equipment safely.
- Perform field welding using SMAW, FCAW, and/or MIG processes as required.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety regulations.
- Work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel erection and welding.
- Ability to read and understand structural steel drawings.
- Experience with connecting, rigging, signaling, and steel alignment.
- Proficient in structural welding techniques
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
