Job Overview
We are seeking a innovative and detail-oriented Process Innovation Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing operational processes, and implementing cutting-edge solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in process engineering, project management, and a passion for fostering innovative practices within a warehouse environment. The Process Innovation Specialist identifies opportunities for operational improvement, develops strategic enhancement plans with optimal allocation of limited resources, and supports the implementation of solutions aimed at increasing efficiency, improving quality, and minimizing waste.
Duties
- Identify and analyze existing processes: Thoroughly examine current JIS & JIT workflows, procedures, and systems to understand & present their strengths and weaknesses to management.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data (both qualitative and quantitative) to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Perform data analysis to support decision-making or uncover inefficiencies.
- Contribute in designing new process improvements such as CC layout change, stabilization of new procedures & feedback implementation.
- Improvement Monitoring: Continuously monitor new & existing processes, identify new opportunities for improvement, and implement further enhancements.
- Lead CFT (Cross Functional Teams): Analyze & improve workstations including racks, productions aids & asset utilization improvements like PDA & automation equipment.
- Oversee and maintain Master Data pages within GCS, ensuring timely and accurate updates across material, location, dolly, and related datasets to support seamless functionality and prevent discrepancies in downstream GCS processes.
- Claim Processing: Organize, analyze & execute paperwork and work process involved in various claim against Glovis Alabama.
- Training and Communication: Assist in training the proposed solution’s corresponding department & follow-up.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of process changes, workflows, and outcomes.
- Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on project status and impact.
- IT Enablement: Work with IT team to implement automation or digital tools that support process efficiency.
- Restock Warehouse & Office Supplies: Assist with purchasing necessary supplies for warehouse & office operation.
- Special Project on Weekends & Holidays: Need to participate in some of the special projects taken place during non-operational days such as during off weekends & holidays.
- New Tasks: May be given tasks not on this list by manager as new projects arise.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
-Required sense of urgency & ownership: Understands the time strain of different tasks & willingness to act on achieving the set target as a team.
-Required documentation & organization: Meticulously document the data required for drafting & evaluating solution.
-Preferred management skills: Ability to plan and execute process improvement with limited resources such as manpower, time, and budget.
-Preferred knowledge & ability of using hand tools and equipment: Required to use tools like drill, hammer, forklift & scissor lift - certification training is provided.
-Required extensive knowledge of Microsoft: The ability to use different Microsoft programs; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
