We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic Tour Guides to lead engaging and informative Food Tours in the Dallas area.
Do you love food? Can you command a crowd, make them laugh, and have everyone literally eating out the palm of your hand? Do you have a Tour Guide Background, Theatre Background, Entertainment Background, Teaching Background or Serving Background?
If so, then this job is for you! We are seeking passionate, highly energetic and responsible people. Leading a food tour is a combination of quick thinking on your feet, advanced storytelling, and herding cattle from one location to the next. We provide you all the training and get you up to speed. Once you’re up and leading a food tour, you’ll be amazed that you’re getting paid handsomely for something so ridiculously fun and rewarding. Positions are part-time and/or on-call. Applicants living close to/in Dallas, Fort Worth and Grapevine will be considered. Flexible schedules preferred.
You should be comfortable with mobile technology and thinking on your feet. You should also be able to stand for long periods of time and walk distances easily. Our ideal teammate is able to work independently and solve problems on their own all while keeping a positive, team player attitude. Consistent, reliable timeliness and the ability to manage a flexible schedule are key. Our foodie adventures take place 7 days a week, with start times between 9AM and 6:30PM.
Duties
- Lead groups on tours, providing insightful commentary and engaging storytelling about the locations visited.
- Handle all of the ordering of food and tipping at restaurants correctly.
- Follow instructions for guest needs including dietary restrictions and food allergies.
- Communicate with our team in a timely manner using WhatsApp and text.
- Manage your schedule providing availability in a timely manner and following through on tours assigned to you.
