Purpose of Job:
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions for Healthcare Areas as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.

1-Meal Prep:
Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
Serve Meal in accordance with diet orders as communicated on meal tickets
Assure meal selections and preferences are followed for all meals.
Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
Obtain food supplies for next meal.
Prepare and deliver snacks, etc., as instructed
2-Sanitation:
Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Clean work tables, healthcare carts, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
Carry soiled utensils, etc. to wash area.
Place soiled linens in designated hampers/laundry area, following departmental policies and procedures.
Return clean utensils to proper storage areas.
Wash and sanitize utensils as directed.
Keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.
Maintain hot and cold food carts in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
3-Administrative:
Inventory refrigerator/pantry and record on stock sheets.
Record temps and ensure proper food temperatures.
Wrap and label and date all food items as per policy.
4-Other:
Work with the Dietary Supervisor/Dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
Assure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
Assist in healthcare dining rooms as instructed.
Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures, as instructed.
Prepare food, etc., in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as with our established policies and procedures.
Take breaks at designated times.
Follow proper clocking in/out procedures at the designated time-clock.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
