Overview
(5X A WEEK, 3 HOURS A DAY, MUST BE DONE AFTER 5pm. LOOKING FOR ONE PERSON TO WORK M-F). We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in commercial settings.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks with appropriate equipment and supplies.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols while performing cleaning duties.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored properly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Familiarity with porter duties is advantageous.
