We are Oregon’s premier community-based support program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We’re currently hiring an Employment Support Specialist to help clientsmaintain and succeed in their jobs.
This position supports individuals after they are hired in a community-based position, helping them build skills and independence at work.
The role is entirely in the field, serving clients throughout the Portland metro area — primarily around Oregon City, with regular travel as far northeast as Gresham and as far southwest as Wilsonville. Travel reimbursement (time and miles) is provided for all travel between client appointments.
What You'll Do
As a Job Coach, you’ll:
- Provide on-site job training and support
- Help clients understand job duties and workplace expectations
- Support clear communication with employers and coworkers
- Supervise clients at their job site as needed
- Provide minimal hands-on assistance with job tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized and able to multitask effectively
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Creative, solution-focused mindset
Job Requirements
- Pass a criminal background check
- Obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Have a reliable, insured vehicle for travel during services (mileage reimbursed)
- Own a dependable smartphone for field work
- Have reliable mobile internet access
Schedule
- Full-Time: 35-40 hours/week
- Based off clients' work schedule between 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday
