Seeking to fill a position for a landscape installation crew member who is responsible for various tasks related to installing and maintaining outdoor landscapes. This is a physically demanding role that involves working with a team and operating different tools and equipment.
Here's a general overview of the position:
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Assisting with the installation of different landscape elements such as sod, plants, trees, shrubs, and mulch. This may also include helping with hardscape features like pavers, retaining walls, and water features, as well as irrigation system installation and repairs
- Operating Equipment: Using various hand tools like shovels, rakes, sledgehammers, and pickaxes, and potentially power tools like backpack blowers, mowers, and trimmers. Some roles may also require operating heavy equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, dingos, and trenchers
- Site Work: Preparing job sites, which can involve grading, excavation, and removing debris. Also, performing maintenance tasks like weeding, raking leaves, and clearing grass clippings.
- Safety & Teamwork: Adhering to safety guidelines and working closely with other crew members and supervisors to complete daily tasks and projects efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least one year of job-related experience with a professional landscape company is preferred
- Physical Ability: The ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions, including bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 70 pounds.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required.
- Communication: Ability to interact professionally and clearly communicate with team members and supervisors.
- Punctuality: Reporting to work in uniform, being punctual, and maintaining a positive attitude are important.
