ENGAGEMENT TYPE: Direct Hire
We are seeking a skilled and talented Systems Engineer to join a collaborative and fast-paced managed services environment. In this role, you will serve as a key escalation point and trusted advisor, working across multiple client environments to solve complex technical challenges and deliver impactful IT solutions. You will work hands-on with modern infrastructure and cloud technologies while helping drive innovation, automation, and continuous improvement across the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Resolving escalated Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical issues
- Partnering directly with clients to scope and deliver IT projects
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team growth
- Administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID
- Managing Active Directory environments (GPOs, DNS, DHCP, LDAP)
- Supporting and maintaining Microsoft Server operating systems
- Designing and deploying network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, wireless)
- Planning and executing cloud migrations to Azure and AWS
- Performing server maintenance, patching, and system health monitoring
- Driving automation efforts using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting tools
- Supporting security initiatives, including patching and system hardening
This is a high-impact opportunity to work on meaningful, complex projects, not just ticket-based work.
- 5+ years of network and server administration experience, including proven success in an MSP or comparable client-facing IT environment (non-siloed, multi-client support)
- Experience with and/or strong understanding of Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, etc...) and Entra ID administration
- Strong Active Directory fundamentals (GPOs, DNS, LDAP, DHCP)
- Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewall concepts)
- Scripting ability in PowerShell and/or Bash
- At least two relevant certifications (examples include CCNA, Network+, CompTIA Server+, AZ-104, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or security certifications)
- Experience with RMM tools, PSA/ITSM platforms, and backup solutions
- Experience in Azure and AWS migrations (lift-and-shift and modernization) preferred but not required
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with genuine and proactive customer service
- Authorization to work in the US is a precondition of employment - we do not sponsor work visas
