Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to the overall success of our food service operations in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all items are stored properly after cleaning.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and helping cooks in the kitchen.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during peak service times.
- Participate in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment by cleaning floors, counters, and equipment as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration with kitchen staff.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks within the kitchen setting, including food preparation and bussing duties.
