Massage Therapist Qualifications
- Minimum 500 hours of massage therapy education and certificate of completion.
- State of Illinois Massage Therapy License
- Background and reference check required
- Knowledge of and experience in performing Swedish Massage required, knowledge of and experience performing deep tissue and other modalities preferred.
Massage Therapist Responsibilities
- Perform quality 60 to 90-minute customized massage session (50 to 80-minutes hands-on)
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-service consultations and document SOAP notes using a clinic iPad.
- Recommend services and enhancements such as hot stone, CBD treatments, aromatherapy, cupping, assisted stretching and many more.
- Effectively communicate with clients, coworkers, and managers.
