Overview
The Premier Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing installations meet all safety standards, local building codes, and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures in new construction and remodeling projects
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute plumbing layouts
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and plumbing inspection cameras to perform precise installations and inspections
- Conduct plumbing system maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance of water systems in commercial and residential settings
- Adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards during all phases of work
- Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless execution
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required on construction sites while maintaining safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on plumbing installation and repair in commercial or residential settings
- Valid journeyman plumber license or equivalent certification demonstrating comprehensive mechanical knowledge
- Experience with welding, pipe threading, schematics interpretation, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings
- Familiarity with construction plumbing systems, water systems, HVAC integration, and plumbing inspection cameras
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery, and plumbing assembly equipment effectively
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations governing plumbing work in the jurisdiction of employment
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and layout design
- Construction site experience with an understanding of safety procedures and heavy lifting techniques
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred; handyman experience or remodeling background is a plus
