About the Role
A warm and welcoming family in Scarsdale, NY is seeking a professional, experienced part-time nanny to provide consistent, nurturing care for their two young children, ages 6 and 4. The family recently relocated and the children are navigating the transition into a new community — this role plays an important part in helping them feel safe, settled, and supported.
The older child (6) is athletic and creative — she loves arts and crafts and is excited about learning, especially anything academic. The younger child (4) is sensitive and cuddly, loves his stuffed animals, trucks, and cars, and is very close with his parents. Both children are adjusting to a new home, new school, and new summer camp, and the family is looking for someone steady and emotionally attuned to help ease that transition.
This summer, the role will focus on camp pickups and transition support. Starting in the fall, it shifts into a long-term after-school schedule, Monday through Friday, 2:00–5:00pm. The family values stability, trustworthiness, and open communication above all, and is looking for someone who can grow with them for the long term.
