Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking, following established recipes and menu guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Support meal assembly and plating to meet presentation standards for dine-in or catering services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including knife skills and utensil management.
- Contribute to menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and assisting with service setup as needed.
Experience
- Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable.
- Experience working in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments will be advantageous.
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations within the food industry.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques.
- Skills in meal preparation, food handling, and catering support are preferred.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with culinary techniques are a plus.
